Rincon Financial Group
Advice and Financial Planning
About Us
The Value of the Planning Process
Our value is the confidence, clarity, and peace of mind that comes with having an adviser that fully understands you and your situation, and someone you can trust to help you make any decision related to a dollar sign.
Over the years we've found that in almost every situation, when we first start working with potential new clients, they all have something in common - anxiety. Anxiety of not knowing what their goals are, not knowing where they stand in relation to their goals, not knowing if they're worthy of an advisor, or just simply not knowing where to start. It doesn't matter how old they are, it doesn't matter what they do for a living, it doesn't matter what they earn, or what their net worth is - they have some level of anxiety. Our planning process relieves that anxiety and puts people in a good place financially, sometimes for the first time in their lives!
A New Partnership
Since 1979, Mary has been working with clients both personal and business. Through the years, her mission has always been to get to know and understand her clients' wants and needs. Although the industry has evolved over the years, that approach is still today, what creates the best experience for the client/adviser relationship. Through financial planning, clients feel like their adviser can care for them more, and has a better understanding of their overall situation. We found that we shared this uncommon approach to working with our clients individually, and were excited to partner together in November of 2023 . Our goal with the partnership is to continue to add value and follow through on the promise to help all of our clients live the lives they want. Our partnership will add many more years to that promise while allowing Mary to soon take her own advice and enjoy the retirement she's worked so hard for.
Meet The Team
David Hermann, CRPC, BFA
Whether it's been working with clients, or teaching other advisers, the focus is always on financial planning and the value it brings. His clients like working with him through a planning lens where the focus isn't on the products, and because of this, they are open to asking more questions and using his expertise, which allows him to do better work for them.
Mary Ahearn, CFP

Who We Work With
Rincon Financial Group works closely with a select client base including business owners, retirees, widows, individuals managing newfound wealth, and those preparing for major financial transitions like retirement.
We offer personalized attention and custom strategies in investment management, estate planning, tax planning, business planning, or risk management.
We prioritize our clients' satisfaction and limit our clientele to ensure that we can provide the level of service we're known for.
So whether you're in the wealth accumulation years of work, or the wealth distribution years of retirement, as we seek to be your trusted financial partners, our goal is to simplify the process and provide the environment you need to focus on living your best life.
The Planning Process
In our initial meeting we'll spend 90 minutes focused primarily on you. We believe this meeting is the most important meeting in our process. It allows us to get to know you and your situation, and allows you to learn more about what we do and how we do it. We'll end the first meeting by choosing the level of service you want to receive from us and that best fits your needs.
In our second meeting, we'll show a preliminary plan and verify the data we collected in the first meeting. The purpose of this meeting isn't to collect exact numbers or grab statements, but rather agree on the numbers we'll be working with in order to complete a written financial plan. We'll agree on assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and the most important goals to work on first.
In our third meeting, we'll present a finished financial plan with written recommendations tailored to your needs put forth for you to reach the goals we discussed in meeting one. This will be the blue print you can follow to get you started down the path of goal achievement. The planning recommendations are written in such a way that you'll know exactly what to do, when to do it, and what the outcome will be for doing it. In this meeting we'll discuss implementing the ideas needed to make the plan work.
From there we'll have formal review meetings each year designed to keep you on track. We'll show a progress report on any of the previous goals, make any changes necessary, and work on any new goals that come up each year. This meeting allows us to develop a deeper, more meaningful relationship with everyone we work with, and allows us to adjust our advice as things in your life change, allowing you to make the best decisions around those changes.
